Rustic french

This rustic hand painted kitchen was designed to complement the large cream Aga.

The feature island houses a beautiful reclaimed Belfast sink and a dishwasher. The weathered oak used in the worktops is 150 years old and was reclaimed from Amish barns and hand glued to create a stunning prep area.

The tongue and groove detailing was designed to look lived in and authentic, rather than streamlined, this compliments the property perfectly.

The kitchen has been painted in Farrow & Ball Light Gray. The island was painted in Farrow & Ball Stony Ground.

Special Features

Client Feedback

" Following years of renovating properties at different stages of our lives, we decided to ‘settle’ in our forever home. We spent a huge amount of time researching, planning and designing our new kitchen. Our home is old worldly and we wanted the kitchen to be in keeping with the house while meeting our specific needs. We had high expectations of what we wanted and how the kitchen would fit with us, our house and our lifestyle.

Following online research of local kitchen companies, we came across Stewart. When we met Stewart, he was extremely easy to deal with, open and more importantly, listened to all our ideas. We spent hours discussing minor details which was reassuring and following our meetings we trusted Stewart to make us a good kitchen. As this was going to be a handmade bespoke kitchen in an old house with crooked walls and uneven floors, this job was not going to be standard.

During the process Stewart ended up being fussier than me (this is difficult!) and I really appreciated how much he cared about getting every detail right with precision and accuracy. The installation was stress free for us and nothing was a problem for Stewart. This was a first, in our experience. Stewart could not have been more helpful, kind and professional. We did not get a good kitchen as an end result; we got an absolutely fantastic kitchen which has exceeded our expectations.
It is difficult to put into words but there is an honesty about Stewart that shines through in his workmanship.

When we get home, we feel very lucky to have chosen Stewart as we still cannot believe this beautiful kitchen is ours."
